Meet Ben Glenn

“They Said I Had Brain Dysfunction, So How Did I
Become One of the World’s Most Captivating
Artists?”

If anyone understands how to turn a limitation, a challenge, or
uncertainty into direction, purpose and strength, it’s award winning
artist, Ben Glenn. Yep, that is his real name and a name he and his family
are very proud of.
Growing up, experts labeled Ben as learning disabled and having
minimal brain dysfunction. Over time, the term changed to one that is
more familiar today, ADHD. However, the struggle was real. The
setbacks were visible. Reading and writing for Ben provided decades of
frustration but slowly formed a foundation to build a process that NOW
empowers leaders and organizations around the world.
Life gives us options and for Ben, the choice to pick up some simple
sticks of chalk and start creating pictures that inspire, guide and offer
meaningful insight was a decision that still shapes the work he does
today.

I will never forget this turning point!

“I remember when our family had a front row seat to one of the most
violent tornadoes ever recorded in history. It was August 1990 in
Plainfield, Illinois and experts have confirmed that it is the only F5
tornado ever recorded – in history - in the month of August.
To say things were challenging would be an understatement. It felt like we
had lost everything. Our family had lost hope and carried this weight of
defeat. It was a sad time. However, in the middle of all that uncertainty,
my brother Ben created a turning point for us. Ben gathered our family
together. He set out some chair, crafted an easel with a 3 foot by 3 foot paper attached to a cedar board. He shared a few words of
encouragement, turned on some music, picked up some chalk, and drew
one of the most beautiful pictures of hope.
I remember telling Ben, more people need this experience. And that’s just
it, sometimes, we just need a picture of something good to remind us what
really matters. For us, what mattered most was that our family was
together. Ben helped create a light that we so desperately needed in a very
dark time. I will never forget this turning point. - Ben’s Brother, Sam

How Chalk by Ben Got Started

Ben’s speaking and chalk talk career began when he was invited to share his story at
a very small church camp. Afterwards, Ben was invited to speak and perform his
chalk talks all around the country. Since then, Ben has presented for just about
every industry that you can imagine, from corporations, associations, schools, and
professional sports teams across the United States and internationally.
Ben has presented to audiences as large as 75,000 people at stadium filled events,
but also to small teams preparing for important moments or big changes in their
organization. Whether the audience is large or small, Ben has this sincere ability to
connect, customize and engage throughout the chalk talk experience.

Ben’s Chalk Talks Are Customized for Impact

Each presentation is customized to support the goals and theme of your event.
Through engaging stories, practical insights, and a live art demonstration, Ben
creates a keynote experience that captures attention and reinforces the purpose of
the gathering. Basically, wherever your event needs a memorable highlight, this is
it!

“WAIT…this guy draws on BED SHEETS from
TARGET??? ….That is so COOL!!!”

What makes Ben’s presentation so unique and different from other artists is the
CHALK. While there are speed painters out there, who display their talent through
speed and paint, BEN STANDS ALONE FROM THE CROWD. He uses chalk and he
draws the most captivating pictures in minutes on a KING SIZE BED SHEET from
Target.
When Ben’s audiences grew in size, he needed a way to accommodate the growth
and still be impactful. That is when he invented the Bed Sheet Canvas.

What Does Ben Mostly Draw During His Chalk Talks?

When you preview Ben performing his art online, it looks amazing. But, when you
experience his style of art in person, it is a different level that is often filled with
emotion and healthy engagement. It really is a different level to witness the impact
in person.
While most artists might focus on painting celebrities, passed on celebrity figures,
CEO’s, sports figures or even politicians, Ben takes a very different path. He creates
pictures that the ENTIRE AUDIENCE can see themselves in and relate too. The
picture is for EVERYONE. It’s not about the meaning behind a symbol, it’s about
being the symbol and living the message. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE.

But wait, that’s not all…the best part is when Ben makes the art come to life.
This is the WOW FACTOR.

What makes Ben’s art special is the multi-media show that brings the artwork to life.
For example, if Ben draws a lighthouse, the lightshow brings the lighthouse to life so
it looks like the lighthouse is actually working. It’s as many of his clients say,
“Absolutely breathtaking.”

The Focus of Chalk Talks

A common thread throughout Ben’s work is resilience, perspective, and the ability
to move forward through challenges with clarity and purpose. The result is a
program that energizes audiences and leaves them with a message they remember
long after the event ends.
Over the years, Ben has worked with a wide range of audiences including corporate
leaders, sales teams, educators, healthcare workers, association members, and
professional athletes. His unique blend of art, humor, and insight allows him to
connect with people across industries and backgrounds.

!!!Everyone Takes Ben’s Art Home!!!

The big picture belongs to you when it’s all wrapped, but Ben believes in retention
and that every great event deserves a special moment that will be remembered. So,
as a way to keep the magic of the moment alive, everyone will receive a gift print of
Ben’s artwork with a message or link to a video message for your group on the back.

So, when 10 years pass and the moment of your event is long gone, that picture and
the message stay with whomever was there. That is what makes this experience
extra special and memorable.
